“Even when you think you have your life all mapped out, things happen that shape your destiny in ways you might never have imagined.” ― Deepak Chopra

We all have to face challenging times in our life. The resilience to deal with these times makes a massive difference to how quickly we can move forward.

In May 2005, my resilience was truly tested when I suddenly lost my partner, my home and for a period of time, my peace of mind.

Having been shown the impermanence of life, my flexibility and ability to adapt to change was definitely a plus at this time. I was also given some very good advice.

“Learn to live in the present moment; do not focus too much on the past or the future.”

I am not going to say it was always easy, but giving my focus to the here and now was very grounding and kept my mind from dwelling on what was gone and fearfully worrying about my future.

With time and resilience I rebuilt my life and I am now able to use my personal journey to help others. A Heart-Given Connection.
